What You Need to Know About Our Reunion Site

Here are some key facts about our reunion site that may help you in your planning for the 2008 Lewis Reunion:

How to get there
There are two ways to get to the Little Bear River Resort. Most of you'll remember the shortcut you took several years ago for our reunion at the nearby Paradise Springs campground.

Coming from the south to Cache Valley
Take I-15 north. Take Exit 362 to Logan. It comes right after the Willard Bay exit and a rest stop. Exit onto Hwy 89 and go past Brigham City and Manatua and through Sardine Canyon.

Shortcut
Just as you come out of Sardine Canyon and enter Cache Valley on Hwy 89 watch for a road that goes off to the right called Mt Sterling Road (6800 South). Follow it to 2400 West, turn right (going south) up the hill. It becomes a dirt road and is now Mt Pisgah or Baxter Hallow Road. Stay on it until you cross the Little Bear River. The entrance to the reunion site is immediately to your left.

Sure Way
The longer, all-pavement way to the Little Bear River Resort: Take US-89 into Cache Valley. Turn right (east) on SR-101. Follow it til you come to 400 West, turn right (south) to Main Street. Turn left on Main and go to SR-65 (a main highway). Turn right (south) on SR-65 toward Paradise. Just as you enter Paradise you will see a welcome sign. Turn right at the first street (8700 South) past the welcome sign. Go west til you come to the sign on the second white fence that reads: "The Little Bear River Resort." Turn right into the resort entrance.

Beware: Road Closed
If you're coming from the north, it won't be easy to get to Logan. Apparently, there is extensive construction on Hwy 30, which is the main connector between Tremonton & I-15 with Cache Valley. So check state highway websites for availability if you're coming from the north.

Facilities
The lodge has many amenities that will make our reunion a pleasant experience. For instance:
• 92 folding chairs (bring camp chairs, if you can; but we'll have plenty regardless)
• 10 round tables and 6 banquet tables
• 9 picnic tables
• Piano
• Carpet throughout
• 2 couches
• Air conditioning
• Lots of electrical outlets (we'll have extension cords)
• Nice covered front porch ideal for outdoor classroom
• Wireless internet access (we're trying to confirm this, but we believe it's true)
• Cell phone coverage (we think; we'll let you know for sure)

Some of the fun features nearby:
• Fire pit with amphitheater seating
• Sandbox for the children (bring your own toys)
• Rope swing
• Porch swing
• Horseshoe pit
• Volleyball
• River/stream...a wet winter and spring may make this more a river, but we're planning for everyone to be able to swim or tube

Weather
• Highs are typically in the high 80s
• Lows are usually in the 50s...so come prepared

More details are coming as to what you should bring to the reunion. But hopefully the above will give you a feel for what to expect.

We're checking on wi-fi. Thanks for the reminder. They had it before via dish network, but new owner didn't know if it was still activated. We'll let you know as soon as we hear. Thanks!
